Al-Quds Al-Arabi interview with sheikh Fahad Al-Quso, a commander of the mujahidin in Abyan

We had to get pass a long distance through a mountainous rough path to reach the area which was chosen by the third most important on the American wanted list, sheikh Fahad Al-Quso, to conduct an interview with him.

The purpose of choosing that remote area, to be away from the eyes of the American drones which are know roaming the Yemeni skies by length and width, but it was the opposite, it was the same area that was bombarded by the American warplanes and missiles in late 2009, and many of the comrades of sheikh Fahad in the organization were killed, the most prominent of them was the leader Mohammed Omair Al-Kiliwi. A remote area in one of the curves of the long and rough Rafaz valley in the province of Shabwa hosted this interview, which sheikh Fahad confirmed to me that he indeed survived an American air strike that targeted a police station that was near him in the city of Zinjibar, the capital of the province of Abyan weeks before, despite that the American media spoke about his death in that raid. In this interview sheikh Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Quso (37 years) answers the questions regarding the truth about the link between Al-Qaeda and the regime of president Saleh and the future after Al-Qaeda controlled the province of Abyan, in addition to position of the organization from the recent popular revolutions, and many questions about other issues.
