The news of Qatar's blockade started regularly popping up along with the events in Syria and Iraq. The imagery of the citizens buying food flew around the world. It became known that Iran, together with Turkey, set up a committee on humanitarian aid to the Arab country of the Gulf. The Islamic Republic of Iran was the first country to arrange for the delivery of food to Qatar, and Qatar Airways increased air traffic to Iran.
Thus, Tehran is fulfilling the covenant to help people in need established in Islam. It should be noted right away that the aid is addressed to the ordinary people of Qatar, and this gesture is conditioned by the rules of fiqh. The propaganda of “the image of the good Tehran protecting the Muslims from the evil Riyadh” and the like is not the case here, especially, if taking into account a number of significant facts.
Those interested in politics and history would know that the governments of Iran and Qatar stay on opposite sides of the barricades. Qatar is one of the key allies of the United States and Zionism in the region, therefore, the Islamic Republic of Iran has no serious relations with the leadership of the emirate at the time being. Qatar is the conductor of ideas of a different trend of pseudo-Salafism, thus having no less destructive plans, which do not significantly differ from those of the House of Saud. Qatar seriously believes in its certain exclusivity and aims at becoming the dominant state in the Middle East region, and the United States is playing a key part in the Doha strategy for the achievement of such goals.
Speaking about the crisis itself, we should note that the very fact of the food crisis for such rich country looks weird, to say the least. Why have not the elite of this tiny state been able to work out a plan A and plan B for this kind of crisis for the whole period of its history? As a matter of fact, the elite of Qatar is well aware that the hidden “cold war” with the House of the Saud would sooner or later switch into a heated phase. For instance, Sudan and the Gaza Strip being under sanctions managed to develop self-sustainable systems in a short time. Please note that the Muslims of Sudan and the liberated Palestinian State (Gaza Strip) do not hold such “enormous” finances as the emirate does.
By the way, Qatar had enough food supplies for three days, and if it had not been for the timely assistance of Iran and Turkey, the dwarfish country of the Gulf would have been doomed to the depletion of the people. Qatar, with a population of just 2.7 million people, mostly formed by migrants, is heavily dependent on imports, and soon after Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt and Bahrain announced their break-up of ties with Qatar, many of its residents rushed in panic into supermarkets and currency exchange points. “We have no dollars, and we cannot say when they will be available again,” says a currency exchange employee, according to the Financial Times.
Why do they do multiple injections into the propaganda channel created under the Western criteria (Al-Jazeera)? Is the information mouthpiece valued more than the life of the population of the country?
Dozens of such questions can be asked. Financing of Western politicians, U.S. military bases, insurgents and takfirists, various economic projects built on the blood of Muslims and in the interests of the imperialists, all this and much more was more important than simple guidelines for defending their state in case of force majeure.
While the people of Qatar is suffering the blockade, the emirate's princes are buying up football players for their clubs, so, as it became known, the Brazilian football player Neymar was purchased for 222 million euros for PSG controlled by the Qatari family. The amount is huge even for the most popular and one of the most profitable sports in the world. It turned out that the football player from Brazil, prone to having “gay” fun, is more important for Nasser Ghanim al-Khelaifi than his own people.
It suggests a couple of conclusions: either the princes could not care less about the fate of their homeland or the so-called blockade of Qatar by the Saudis is another performance staged where the solution to the problem is ready-made and is waiting for its time.
One way or another, the United States are an arbiter in the conflict of monarchies, and it's not even a matter of obsession with universal control, but the desire of the rulers of the Gulf countries to “bring” themselves and their problems before the American establishment.

Qatar Airways lost about 533 million US dollars only in June 2017. A number of Western scientists engaged in helium-related high technologies suffered from the blockade. As helium was supplied exclusively by road through Saudi Arabia. Since June 13, Qatar has ceased its production. On July 2 helium production has been resumed, but the fate of those who depend on the supply of Qatar (the world's second largest helium producer) remains uncertain.
