Mujahideen attack compound of puppet's 'parliament' in Chechen capital

Publication time: 19 October 2010, 17:16
Occupation sources report that a small squad of Mujahideen burst into the puppets "parliament" building in Avtorkhanov district of the Chechen capital Jokhar on Tuesday.

According to preliminary data, a martyr bomber first detonated an explosive device, and then a Mujahideen squad of three fighters entered into the building.

Invaders and their puppets, as always in such cases, report contradicting information about the Martyr operation. Initially, the Itar-Tass news agency reported that 4 of Kadyrov's puppet policemen were killed. No data is available on how many members of the Kadyrov's "parliament" were eliminated. Puppets claim "no casualties among the MPs".

There is also no detailed data on what exactly happened in the building of the "parliament". Invaders and puppets claim that the Mujahideen were killed on the spot. However, according to other evidence, the battle lasted for about two hours. Later, it was reported that the Mujahideen blew themselves up when they ran out of ammunition.

Sources say that when "deputies" in their cars drove to the "parliament", they were followed by a car with Mujahideen. One of the Mujahideen blew himself up and three others broke into the building, where a fierce battle occurred.

According to other information, 4 Mujahideen broke into the building, and there was no explosion. The Mujahideen squad which entered the building shot on everybody who was present inside the "parliament.

As usual in such cases, invaders and puppets convey confusing information about what happened.

It is claimed, for example, that a squad of Mujahideen was allegedly blocked in a room and then they were all killed. However, the nature of the attack on the Kadyrov's "parliament" does not imply the possibility of "blocking" the Mujahideen, as it has clearly been a martyr operation, and no one of them was going to organize defense in the building.

According to other information reported by the invaders, the Mujahideen dispersed in the building and tried to take hostages.

A duty version that "Kadyrov arrived at the scene and personally supervised the operation" was also reported. The same tale came into being after the Mujahideen attacked the Kadyrov's lair in the village of Khosi-Yurt (aka Tsentoroi). In fact, the ringleader of the puppets fled the village hearing the first shots.

Kadyrov, in his turn, repeated the same story he told after the attack of the Mujahideen in Khosi-Yurt. According to his version, the squad of Mujahideen that attacked the parliament was eliminated "in 15 minutes".

Kadyrov's statement that the Mujahideen were "eliminated in 15 minutes" is categorically denied by an eyewitness Igor Danilov, a Russian politician from Siberia who happened to be in Johar at the time of the Mujahideen raid on the city.

In an interview with the Russian Service of a US Radio Liberty Igor Danilov said:

"Today, at 9 am, we envisaged to hold a meeting with parliamentarians of the Chechen Republic. We had to discuss cooperation, we planned to create a permanent inter-parliamentary group, which would include our deputies and deputies from the Chechen Republic. And exactly at 9 am, when we started our work, a explosion took place.

Later, it turned out that it was a Martyr bomber who blew himself up inside the parliament building. A few more people were with him. I did not count them, but according to data available there were three or four of them. A battle broke out, they fired inside the parliament from with automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenade launchers. Naturally, parliament's security guards started to shoot back. There were some wounded persons. But, thanks God, we (Russian politicians - KC) suffered no casualties.

After 1.5 hours, we were evacuated from the building under the protection of the riot police through a basement window. While we ran in short rushes in the street, I noticed a very large number of policemen and soldiers. And some APCs arrived to the battle scene.

When we were leaving, a real battle started".

Thus, the battle in the building of the "parliament" proceeded for about 1.5 -2 hours, and not for 15 minutes as Kadyrov lied, as usual.

Nevertheless, the ringleader of Chechen puppet Kadyrov stayed true to his habit to lie in public. He announced that the Mujahideen "were finished off by 6 special policemen". "None of members of parliament was injured, they were all evacuated", the puppet claims.

He also "clarified" the number of casualties, saying that "2 policemen and a servant were killed". Kadyrov reported this "summary" in a telephone talk with Putin, who phoned Kadyrov "to ask what happened".

However, one of Kadyrov's police chieftains, Edilov, denied the allegations of his boss. He said 4 puppet policemen had been killed and 10 wounded during the Mujahideen attack. In this case, according to Edilov, 2 Mujahideen blew themselves up and 2 were still fighting.

It is also reported that a so-called "head of the parliament's staff" was seriously wounded in the attack.

"The head of the Parliament's Staff, Iskam Baykhakov, was wounded as a result of the attack", a source told Russian journalists. According to him, the puppet was seriously wounded and was taken to the City Hospital # 9 in Jokhar.

The figures reported by different sources of invaders and puppets are absolutely contradictory. According to an initial summary of the "interior ministry," 4 policemen and 2 guards have been killed and 10 injured as a result of the attack.

According to the Russian "investigation committee" gang, 3 policemen were killed and 17 puppets, including 11 employees of puppet "parliament", were wounded.

The ringleader of a so-called "state duma security committee", Vladimir Vasilyev, said 5 Mujahideen were engaged in the attack. Other invaders sources claim that there have been 3 Mujahideen fighters.

A few hours later, invaders decided to support the Kadyrov's "version" and said that "the final casualty figures" are: 2 policemen and 1 servant were killed and 17 puppets injured , including 6 policemen and 11 employees of the "parliament".

Meanwhile, the UPI reported from Jokhar that the puppet "ministry of agriculture" has been also attacked. The agency said with reference to the New York Times that at least 4 Kadyrovites were killed in this attack and the attackers took hostage among puppet officials.

In their turn, local sources reported that ambulances brought to hospitals 20 to 25 persons killed and wounded in the building of the private Kadyrov's "parliament".

The importance of the attack in the Chechen capital of Jokhar is emphasized by the fact that the ringleader of the "Russian interior ministry", Nurgaliyev, urgently arrived to the city from a nearby Russian military base of Khankala to hold an "emergency meeting" with Kadyrov.

According to some reports: a Kadyrov's "speaker", Dukvakha Abdurakhmanov, was inside the parliament building during the attack. It is claimed that he managed to escape from the building and somehow survived.

KC sources, meanwhile, report that armored vehicles are stationed at the entrance to the capital Jokhar. The city is sealed off. Roadblocks are placed on the perimeter of Jokhar. Residents of the city prefer to stay in their homes. Armored vehicles are moving in the streets.

As previously reported, a group of so-called "legislature members" from the Siberian city of Sverdlovsk was present in the building of Kadyrov's "parliament" at the time of the attack. They were evacuated after 1,5 hours of the battle.

It is also reported that as a result of the attack, some parts of the building of the "parliament" were completely destroyed and other parts were severely damaged. The floor collapsed under explosions. The front part of the building also collapsed.

A KC source has also reported about a powerful explosion that rocked the neighborhood Ipodromny in the morning at about 8:50 am. After the explosion, an hour-long fierce fighting was reported to have been taken place in the area. No accurate data is available on what has actually happened there.
